KAWASAKI KL 250 ( A3 )

Production year 1981.
Yes it's ugly and it's old, but it has some character. Fun to drive, brings a smile on a face - true" eastern" feeling. In many parts of Asia people are using bikes like this for daily commuting, main transport vehicle and working machine.
With it's 110 km/h top speed it's not usefull for open roads or long distance riding, but I can go with this bike where I can't go with VFR. Most of all I like the simplicity of the mechanics - 4 stroke, air cooled, 1 cylinder, OHC, 2 valves, carburator, kickstarter...
Bike is simple to ride and with its 118 kg weights half as much as Honda. If Kwak proves to me some reliability I might reward him with some restoration and oldtimer certificate...

I'll try to instruct my girl how to drive motorbikes with this one, since riding a motorbike is one of her biggest wishes ( not that I'm too enthusiastic about that, since it's a fact that motorbikes are dangerous ).

11.100 km (03.04.05): bougt the bike ( imported from Germany )
don't know how the bike was servicing before, but I suppose it was treated good since the engine runs properly...

11.320 km (25.04.05): service
- OIL: Motul 5100 ESTER 15w50 1,5 litre
- OIL FILTER: 56mm × fi55mm
- AIR FILTER : cleaning and oiling
- some WD 40
- some screws tightened
- cleaning
bike seams to work well ...

12.000 km(27.05.05):
- oil consumption is realy awfull (Motul 5100 ESTER 15w50 1,5 litre). Since the engine is runing realy good, I'll try some other oil next oilchange. This one seams to be too good for the Kwak.
